The following are the instructions on how to cook delicious Indian food: Bendakaya Sorakaya Ullipaya Mukkala Pulusu
Ingredients:
1. Kooragaya Mukkalu (any vegetables) 1 cup diced into 1,1/2 inch cubes
2. Ullipaya Mukkalu 1/4 cup cut into pieces (Optional)
3. Tomato 1/4 piece
4. Tamarind 2 small marbles sized
5. Turmeric and Salt as per taste
6. Red chilli powder
7. Sugar 1 tbsp
8. Sambar Powder 1 tsp
9. Rice flour 1 1/2 tsp
10. 4 tbsp Oil
11. 1/2tsp avalu
12. 1/4tsp jeera
13. Pinch of Inguva (hing)
14. 1/2tsp urad dal
15. 1/2tsp channa dal
16. 6-8 methi seeds

Method of Preparation:
Soak the tamarind in 1/2 a cup water. Take a thick pan and put the oil. Let it hit and drop the avalu, after they splatter, put jeera, urad dal, channa dal, methi seeds and inguva. When the seasoning becomes golden brown, add the cut onion and let it fry for 1 minute. Then put pulusu mukkalu and let them fry. When they become little bit soft, add turmeric and tomato and stir in between. After the tomato becomes mushy, keep the stove in medium flame. Add sambar powder and chilli powder. Mix thoroughly. Let it stand for 1 minute. Squeeze the tamarind juice to your desired quantity and pour it into the pan. Add salt. Increase the heat. Then add curry leaves.

When it is boiling, mix the rice flour with 4 tbsp. water, add it to the boiling tamarind juice. Let it boil in low heat for five more minutes. Serve hot or cold with rice. This pulusu also tastes very good with White Upma made with Soji. We are adding rice flour for thickness. So, do not put too much and do not boil too much time after adding rice flour to pulusu. DO NOT put salt in sorakaya mukkalu before squeezing tamarind. If you are not using tomato, skip the step and other steps are the same.
