Indian Cooking Recipe: Bitter Gourd fry
The following are the instructions on how to cook delicious Indian food: Bitter Gourd fry
Ingredients:
1. 4 bittergourd (kakarakaya)
2. 2 onions
3. Red chilly powder 1 tsp
4. Dry coconut powder 1/2 cup
5. Garlic 2 flakes
6. Jeera 1 tsp
7. Urad dal 1 tsp
8. Curry leaves 5
9. 1 red chillies
10. Moong dal 1
11. Channa dal 1
12. Oil for frying


Method of Preparation:
First wash and peel off the hard layers on the bitter gourd. Cut them into medium pieces. Put all the pieces in a bowl and add some salt to the pieces. Keep them aside for 5min - By doing so bitter gourd will lose its bitter taste. After that cut onions. Then fry bitter gourd pieces and onions separately. Make sure that onions were not too crispy after frying.

Add coconut powder, red chilly powder, garlic, salt and jeera. Mix them well in the grinder. Heat some oil. Then add prepared coconut chilly mixture to the seasoning and stir them well for a little while. Finally add the fried bitter gourd to the content. Keep them on a very low flame for a while and stir them. Remove from flame. Garnish with curry leaves.
