Indian Cooking Recipe: Menthi Majjiga
The following are the instructions on how to cook delicious Indian food: Menthi Majjiga
Ingredients:
1. Butter Milk 2 cups
2. 1 Onion, finely chopped
3. Chillies 2
4. Ginger 2"
5. Urad Dal 1 tsp
6. Channa Dal 1 tsp
7. Mustard seeds 1 tsp
8. Jeera 1 tsp
9. Methi seeds 1 tsp
10. Salt to taste
11. Oil 1 tbsp
12. A pinch of turmeric powder
13. A pinch of asafeotida (Hing)
14. Coriander leaves 1 tbsp
15. Curry Leaves 1 tbsp
Method of Preparation:
Add the finely chopped onions, chillies, ginger, salt, coriander leaves, turmeric powder and the asafetida powder and mix well. Heat the oil in a pan. Add the urad dal, channa dal, mustard seeds, jeera and methi seeds. Once the seasoning is well fried, add it to the buttermilk. Serve with rice.
