Indian Cooking Recipe: Paneer Butter Masala
The following are the instructions on how to cook delicious Indian food: Paneer Butter Masala
Ingredients:
1. Paneer 1 pack
2. Onions 4 (big)
3. Cashewnuts 15
4. Green Chillis 2
5. Tomatoes 2
6. Ginger finely chopped length wise
7. Spices - Cardamom, Cloves, Elachi etc.
8. Turmeric powder 1 tsp
9. Garam masala 1 tsp
10. Chat masala 1tsp
11. Salt to taste
12. Butter 1/2 cup
13. Dry fruits
14. Saffron
15. Coriander leaves
Method of Preparation:
Chop 3 onions and fry them in one tbsp of butter until they turn brown. Chop tomatoes and fry them in a tsp of butter adding 1 tsp of salt and turmeric powder. Grind onions and tomatoes seperately into paste. Fry paneer in a tbsp of butter till they turn light brown.
In a pan, put the remaining butter, add all spices, ginger, green chillies (cut into long halves) and chopped onion. Fry them till light brown. Now add the onion paste, fry for a while and add tomato paste, salt and red chilli powder. Fry till the butter leaves the edges of the pan. Add fried paneer. Add 1 1/2 cups of water and cook for 5 minutes. Make a smooth paste of chasewnuts, add it to the curry and cook for 5 mins. Add garam masala and chat masala and cook for 5 more minutes and then take off from flame. Finally garnish with chopped coriander leaves, saffron and fried dry fruits.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
All the ingredients should be fried seperately. Food color can be used.
