Indian Cooking Recipe: Poni Annamu
The following are the instructions on how to cook delicious Indian food: Poni Annamu
Ingredients:
1. Cooked rice or leftover rice: 250gms
2. Onions: 1 medium size - chopped
3. Green chillies: 3
4. Coriander leaves: 25gms
5. Curry leaves: few
5. Jeera (Jilukara): 1 tsp
6. Mustard Seeds: 1 tsp
7. Turmeric powder (Pasupu or Haldi): 1/4th of tsp
8. Oil: 4 tbs
9. Salt to taste
10. Red chilli powder: if required
Method of Preparation:
Take a pan, add oil and heat for few minutes. Add jeera, mustard seeds and curry leaves to the oil. Add green chillies, chopped onions and fry for sometime. Add turmeric powder (Pasupu) and stir for sometime until the onions and chillies are fried.
Add the rice and stir well. See that rice is nicely mixed with fried onions and chillies. Add salt to taste and stir the whole rice. Check if salt and chilli are sufficient. If you require more chilli, add some red chilli powder and mix well. At last add coriander leaves on top of the rice. Optional: You can also add little quantity of lemon juice to the rice. It is ready to serve.
