Spinach Idli Recipe
Indian Cooking Recipe: Spinach Idli
The following are the instructions on how to cook delicious Indian food: Spinach Idli
Ingredients:
1. Raw rice 2 cups
2. Spinach
3. Grated coconut 1/2
4. Beaten rice (Avalakki) 1/4 cup
5. Thick curds (not sour) 1 cup
6. Sugar 1 tsp
7. Salt to taste


Method of Preparation:
Soak the rice and dal separately for 4 hours. Grind the spinach and coconut scrapings first. When fine, add rice and dal grind to a fine paste of idli batter consistency. Add salt and mix well. Ferment over night. Steam like idlis. Serve with chutney. This batter can be stored in the fridge for a day and then used to prepare dosas in the morning.
