Method of Preparation:
Cook toor dal in a pressure cooker with water, turmeric, oil and keep aside. Put spinach, water into a pan and bring to the boil until the spinach is tender. Add salt, cooked dal, curry leaves and cook for 10 minutes. Remove from the heat. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard, jeera, when it pops add green chillies, asafeotida and fry for 2 minutes. Stir into the thovve. Add lemon juice and mix well. Serve with rice or chapatis.
