Method of Preparation:
Soak the rice and methi for 1 hour. Wash rice and methi and grind together with coconut, jaggery, kurlu and cardamoms to a fine paste. The batter should be of thick dropping consistency. Keep it aside for 5 to 6 hours. Keep the guri appa tava on the fire. Pour a little ghee in all the seven depressions and then pour batter in all of them. Keep it on a slow fire. When cooked, turn over the appas and cook for some more time.
Guri appa tava- special tava with 7 depressions.
