Indian Cooking Recipe: Tender Bamboo Shoot Sukka
The following are the instructions on how to cook delicious Indian food: Tender Bamboo Shoot Sukka
Ingredients:
1. Tender bamboo shoots 1 cup
2. Grated coconut 1/4
3. Red chillies, roasted, 5
4. Tamarind a small lump
5. Black gram dal 1 tbsp
6. Coriander seeds 1 tbsp
7. Jackfruit seeds 6-7, finely chopped
8. Jaggery 2 tbsps
Method of Preparation:
Pressure cook jack fruit seeds and bamboo shoot. Grind together coconut, red chillies and tamarind to a coarse paste. Fry black gram dal and coriander seeds in little oil. Add to the paste and grind. The masala should not be very fine. Add the masala to the cooked shoots adding salt and jaggery. Season it with mustard and curry leaves.
