Indian Cooking Recipe: Erissery
The following are the instructions on how to cook delicious Indian food: Erissery
Ingredients:
1. 2 cups mashed yam (chena)
2. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
3. 1/2 tsp chilli powder
4. 1 pinch jeera
5. 1/2 cup grated coconut
6. 2 tsp oil
7. 1 tsp mustard seeds
8. 2 tsp onions, chopped
9. 2 dry chillies, each cut into 3
10. A few curry leaves
11. Salt to taste


Method of Preparation:
Coarsely grind turmeric powder, chilli powder, jeera, onions and coconut. Clean and dice the yam and cook. Mash the cooked yam with a ladle. Add sufficient water to the mashed yam to get a medium loose consistency, mix the masala and boil. Add salt. If necessary add more boiling water. Fry mustard seeds, chillies, curry leaves and grated coconut in hot oil and add to the curry. Serve hot.
