Indian Cooking Recipe: Shrimp Pickle
The following are the instructions on how to cook delicious Indian food: Shrimp Pickle
Ingredients:
1. Small shrimps (peeled) 1 kg
2. Chilli powder 1 1/2 tbsp
3. Turmeric powder 1/8 tsp
4. Powdered black pepper 1/4 tsp
5. Lemon juice 1 tsp
6. Salt to taste
Method of Preparation:
Marinate shrimps for 10 to 15 minutes. Soft fry the marinated shrimp in the 4 tbsp of oil for 5 minutes under medium heat. Set aside. Use the same oil from above. Heat sufficiently and add a pinch of mustard seed which should break in the oil, one large onion (sliced longitudely), two whole pods of garlic (chopped), two tbsps full of ginger (chopped), three whole green chillies (slit), four stems of curry leaves (broken).
Be sure to add the ginger last. Sauté lightly and mix in a pinch of fenugreek (uvula) powder, 1 tbsp of chilli powder, 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder and 1/2 tsp of black pepper powder. Now add the soft fried shrimp, 3 tbsps full of vinegar and salt to taste. Mix thoroughly. Your shrimp pickle is now ready.
