Indian Cooking Recipe: Paneer Amritsari
The following are the instructions on how to cook delicious Indian food: Paneer Amritsari
Ingredients:
a. Pound(s) paneer
b. Slice(s) onions
c. Teaspoon(s) ginger
d. Teaspoon(s) garlic
2. 1/2 Teaspoon(s) coriander
a. Teaspoon(s) ajwain seeds
3. 3/4 Teaspoon(s) gram flour
a. Teaspoon(s) red chili powder
4. 1/2 Teaspoon(s) turmeric powder
5. 1/2 Teaspoon(s) Punjabi garam masala powder
6. 1/2 Teaspoon(s) sugar
7. 1 Teaspoon(s) anardhana powder
8. 1 Teaspoon(s) Salt
a. Tablespoon(s) oil
9. 1/2 Teaspoon(s) tandoori masala
Method of Preparation:
Cut paneer into 1"x1"x1" cubes.
Make a thick mixture of flour, salt, ginger, garlic, turmeric, ajwain, garam and tandoori masalas. Sprinkle 2-3 tbsp. water if necessary.
Add 1/2 tbsp. oil, mix well. Use 2 tbsp. mixture to marinate onions, and rest to marinate paneer cubes. Marinate paneer for 10 minutes. Either fry pieces or grill on a bar-b-que skewer or grill mesh till crisp and brown. Heat remaining oil; add onions, sauté till light brown. Add marinate paste, stir well and cook. When dry add fried paneer, chili, anardhana powder, and sugar, salt. Toss well. Garnish with coriander. Serve hot with tooth picks to pick up easily
