Rava Seedai Recipe
Indian Cooking Recipe: Rava Seedai
The following are the instructions on how to cook delicious Indian food: Rava Seedai
Ingredients:
1. Fine Rava (Sooji) 1½ cups
2. Urad Flour 2 tsps
3. Grated Coconut 2 tbsps
4. Pepper + Cumin Powder 1 tsp
5. Asafeotida 1/2 tsp
6. Salt 1 tsp
7. Butter or Ghee 1 tbsp
8. Oil to deep fry


Method of Preparation:
Fry the rava in a dry kadai without adding any oil until it is light brown in color. Let it cool for a few minutes. Add the urad flour, salt, asafeotida, butter/ghee, coconut and pepper-cumin powder to this rava and mix well. Add water little by little and knead into soft thick dough. Set aside for about 5 minutes. Knead once again and roll out into small even sized balls. When the entire dough is finished, heat up the oil in a deep kadai. In the hot oil, deep fry the entire seedais in 4 or 5 batches until light brown in color and crisp. Drain off the excess oil in paper towels or tissues.
